Responsibilities

Registered Nurse (RN) – EndoscopyScottsdale, Arizona, Digestive Health Specialists

We are actively hiring a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Endoscopy team. This role is essential in delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment.

Key Responsibilities

+ Develop and implement individualized perioperative care plans

+ Ensure patient safety by adhering to protocols for equipment, infection control, and injury prevention

+ Operate and troubleshoot endoscopy equipment and instruments

+ Administer medications accurately using the 8 rights of medication administration

+ Monitor patients under moderate sedation and anesthesia care

+ Maintain aseptic technique and support tissue perfusion and system stability

+ Handle specimens per facility policy and ensure proper documentation

+ Educate patients and support persons on post-procedure care, pain management, and recovery expectations

+ Advocate for patient rights, dignity, and privacy throughout the care continuum

+ Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in quality improvement initiatives

+ Provide accurate and timely hand-off reports and documentation

+ Comply with all facility policies, regulatory standards, and professional guidelines

Qualifications

+ Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

+ Current RN license in the state of Arizona

+ Minimum one year of experience in GI, OR, or medical/surgical nursing preferred

+ Current RN license in good standing with the state of Arizona

+ Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required within 90 days of employment (or current certification)

+ Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 90 days of employment (or current certification)

+ Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required within 90 days of employment if pediatric care is part of the facility’s scope (or current certification)

+ Specialty certification in GI Nursing is preferred
