    Hidden Valley Transfer Station, a Waste Connections company, is currently hiring a **reliable and motivated Laborer** to join our **Compost Factory team** in Puyallup, Washington. We’re proud to be an equal opportunity employer and welcome applicants from all backgrounds.

     

    This is a **full-time, year-round** position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, values teamwork, and takes pride in supporting a clean and sustainable environment.

     

    **🕒 Schedule:** Wednesday–Saturday, 7:30 AM – 6:00 PM

    **💲 Pay Range:** $21.00 – $23.00 per hour, depending on experience

    • What You’ll Be Doing:

    + Support compost operations with general labor tasks, including site cleanup and equipment prep

    + Safely direct traffic and trucks entering and exiting the compost facility

    + Assist customers and drivers with the unloading and disposal of organic materials

    + Operate small equipment as needed

    + May occasionally drive within the facility (requires a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record)

    • What We’re Looking For:

    + At least 1 year of experience in a physically demanding outdoor job

    + Comfortable working around strong odors and in all weather conditions

    + Able to stand and work outdoors for up to 10 hours per shift

    + Can lift up to 50 lbs regularly

    + Willing to work at other locations if needed

    + High school diploma or equivalent

    + Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record

     

    This is a **safety-sensitive position** and requires passing a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
