Salary: $25 / Hour

The SchoolAide is an individual who works with students requiring instructional, and/orbehavioral assistance under the supervision of the special educationdepartment, teacher and/or supervising designee. The School Aide may alsoprovide support services to assist students with personal, physical mobilityand therapeutic care needs, as established by a rehabilitation healthpractitioner, social worker or other health care professional.

Key Details:

+ Pay Rate : $18 - $22 per hour based on behavioral experience & training

+ Paid Weekly.

+ Schedule : Monday through Friday.

+ Reg. School Year Hours : 1:00pm – 5pm, 11:00am - 5:00pm No weekends .

+ Benefits : Paid Sick Time Benefits

+ Commitment Level : 20 - 25 hours of availability.

MinimumRequirements:

+ High School diploma or equivalent required

+ Comply with all relevant professional standards of practice

+ Current CPR if applicable

+ TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

+ Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

+ Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

+ Must be at least 18 years of age

EssentialDuties and Responsibilities:

+ Follows through with IEP objectives including math, reading, speech, independent skills, and managing behavioral deficits and excesses, one on one or as a general classroom aide

+ Facilitates or creates learning activities including lesson plans, worksheets, reinforcement systems, small groups, social games, and work assistance

+ Communicates pertinent information to teachers

+ by supervising teacher, all parent communication is the responsibility of certified personnel)

+ Assists with activities of prescribed programs including those written by related service personnel such as PT, OT and SLP

+ Assists students in the development of independent skills through self-care activities such as toileting, clothing routines and personal hygiene
