    JOB SUMMARY:

    Provides support and assists the Director, Safety & Environmental to achieve company goals and objectives. Conducts branch safety and environmental audits, observations and inspections; Assists the Director, Safety & Environmental and Branch Management to determine Root Causes of all safety incidents; Assists the Director, Safety & Environmental, Product Support Supervisors and employees with the implementation of action items related to safety incidents; Facilitates Industrial Hygiene testing as applicable – Noise & air monitoring, etc.; Conducts First Aid/CPR/AED & BBP Training at all branch locations; Assists with MSHA Training as needed; Assists with Respiratory Program – Medical evaluations, training, fit testing, voluntary use program; Assists with Hearing Conservation Program – Training & audiograms; Conducts various safety training classes as needed; Assists with tracking of various EH&S metrics; Assists with the completion of various customer related safety information and regulatory reports.

    COMPETENCIES:

    + Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, time management, computer, organization, planning, listening, and problem-solving skills.

    + Individual must have the ability to work with others, internally and externally to achieve the company’s Safety & Environmental goals.

    JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

    + Associate degree in Environmental, Health & Safety or related education preferred; Or a High School Graduate with a minimum of 5 years of experience in the Environmental, Health or Safety field or similar.

    + Must be able to travel to all branch locations four-five days per week.

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an service shop and office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet in office settings and moderate to loud in other situations, with both constant and sudden loud noises possible.
