    + JOB REQUIREMENTS

    + Education

    + Must have satisfied education requirements from an accredited program and be currently licensed as a Physical Therapist Assistant in the state of Arkansas by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy (the Board). CPR certified.

    + Experience

    + Sound clinical skills and demonstrated good judgment. Working knowledge of physical, mental and social needs of the frail elderly population. Ability to problem-solve and plan effectively. Effective oral and written communication skills. Basic computer skills. Preferred two years’ experience in outpatient and inpatient care

    + Physical

    + Requires physical strength to perform the essential functions of the job. Must be able to work required schedule. Hearing within normal range. Frequent sitting, stooping, standing, walking, bending, pushing/pulling up to 250 pounds, and carrying up to 35 pounds, and lifting up to 100 pounds. This position requires driving between facilities and a vehicle is required.

    + JOB SUMMARY

    + + The Physical Therapist Assistant will assist Physical Therapists in providing physical therapy treatments and procedures. May, in accordance with state laws, assist in the development of treatment plans, carry out routine functions, document the progress of treatment, and modify specific treatments in accordance with patient status and within the scope of treatment plans established by the Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist Assistant will have frequent and regular supervision by or in consultation with a physical therapist whose license is in good standing. The PTA will meet and abide by rules and regulations set forth by the Board.

    + The PTA must be flexible and work well with different clinic Managers and staff making needed adjustments in different clinical philosophies. The PTA must be a good time manager to make adjustments needed to travel between clinics during the same work day when necessary. This position will be susceptible to changes in schedule and locations at a short notice. The PTA needs to be able to adjust to these frequent changes.
