    **Austin Equipment Group** which directly supports all three of the operating companies has an outstanding opportunity for a **Vehicle Fleet Manager** in Texas **.** The Vehicle Fleet Manager has management and operational responsibilities of the Equipment Division with bottom-line accountability. The fundamental purpose of this position is to identify and fulfill the vehicle needs of the organization in an economical and service-oriented manner. Reporting to the Equipment Division Director, this position’s purpose includes the selection, procurement, protection, and deployment of vehicle assets. This position also directly manages the maintenance, repair, and operating of the vehicles. The Vehicle Fleet Manager has primary responsibility for overall vehicle fleet operations concerning efficiency, safety, and profitability. They will report to the equipment yard located in the South Dallas area on Ledbetter Drive and Duncanville Road.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    + Service Coordinator

    + Equipment Administrator

    Responsibilities:

    + Determine optimal size and mix of the division fleet

    + Procure all vehicles for the Equipment Division

    + Maintain current industry data on pricing of vehicles, related services, and product development

    + Disposal and re-marketing of all vehicles

    + Maintenance of all vehicles/automobiles

    + Ensure relationships both internal and external are being enhanced with the Equipment Division

    + Profit/loss and budgeting of Vehicle Operations

    + Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and municipal laws related to vehicles sales, rentals, and related services including all corporate and division policies and procedures dealing with employment, compensation, health, safety, and labor/management relations

    + Perform other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    + 5+ years’ experience in vehicle servicing management

    + Strong knowledge of vehicle types

    + Preferred experience in GPS Telematics monitoring for driver behavior.

    + Budgeting and financial management skills to handle repair costs, inventory, and service contracts.

    + Experience with maintenance and repair of vehicles, including both preventative and corrective maintenance.

    + Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors and visitors

    + Ability to learn and apply knowledge of all local, state and national statutes and guidelines regarding vehicle licensing, certifications, permitting and hauling

    + Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time effective manner

    Requirements:

    + Proficiency in general office software (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.) for reporting and administrative tasks

    + Proven experience managing a service team and/or repair crew

    + Experience with procurement, terms and conditions

    + Ability to travel to various project sites across the North Texas Region

    + Requires working outdoors at times in the rain or snow and during cold, warm, and hot temperatures

    + Must be able to work on call as needed

    + High school diploma, GED, or vocational training/certification, Valid driver’s license
