    Description

    Join UCLA Health's Doheny Eye Center and lead the coordination of ophthalmic imaging services across our clinics in Pasadena, Arcadia, and Orange County. In this role, you'll ensure efficient workflows, support staff development, and oversee the technical operations that help deliver exceptional patient care. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

     

    + Manage and coordinate ophthalmic imaging services across all clinics

    + Oversee imaging staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage

    + Establish and maintain operational and technical imaging procedures

    + Direct professional development programs and training for imaging staff

    + Manage imaging workflow to optimize efficiency and support clinical needs

    + Coordinate imaging equipment purchases, setup, training, and maintenance

     

    Salary Range: $70,900-145,200 AnnuallyQualifications

    Required:

    + Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

    + Minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience in a clinical setting, including organizing workflow to accomplish established objectives, training staff, and evaluating staff effectiveness.

    + Current working knowledge of ophthalmic imaging procedures and devices.

    + Knowledge of ophthalmic medical terminology, anatomy and physiology of visual systems.

    + Familiarity with signs and symptoms of various ophthalmic problems to answer patient-related questions and triage calls when urgent evaluation is required.

    + Excellent interpersonal skills with patients, staff and physicians to promote comfortable, cooperative and effective working relationships with patients, physicians and staff.

    + Familiarity with computerized patient appointment scheduling system and imaging and electronic medical records systems.

    + Ability to organize imaging specialist work schedules for continuous coverage.

    + Flexibility in adapting to new assignments.

    + Skill in organizing work systems and prioritizing work.

    + Ability to collaborate with Administrator in problem solving and implementing new and continuing patient care systems.

    Preferred:

    + Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a teaching facility.

    + Current certification as Certified Retinal Angiographer (CRA).
