Job Summary:

Mission Hospital, located in Asheville, North Carolina, is excited to welcome **seasoned/experienced acute care surgeons** to our busy program. Our Trauma center is currently ACS level II, and we have completed a level I consultation visit.

Qualified Candidates:

+ Board certified in General Surgery

+ BC/BE in Surgical Critical Care

+ ATLS certification

+ Excellent interpersonal & communication skills

+ Please note that this position does not offer visa support

Highlights:

+ Equal mix of **trauma, surgical critical care and emergency general surgery**

+ No 24-hour shift requirement; day shifts are 10.5 hours; nights are 13.5

+ Large, stable and established group; worked together for many years; Minimal turnover

+ Close team collaboration, support and coverage including time-off requests

+ Surgical residency offers opportunity to teach

+ Resident support on trauma, surgical critical care, and emergency general surgery services

+ APP support on trauma and emergency general surgery service

+ Research support offered locally and through HCA's National Center Trauma and Acute Care Surgery Research
