How you'll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities)
Sr. Software Development Engineer will be
joining the Crew IT team and contributing to the software design, software
development, and overall product lifecycle. The Software Development Engineer
is responsible for development, operations and support, and enhancements of
Delta’s Crew Operations systems. They have knowledge of API Development and
Layered Architecture principles. As a member of the Crew IT Team, this position
requires working closely with internal team members, Product Owners, Business
SMEs and other supporting IT groups.
Responsibilities:
+ TechnicalLead overseeing each phase of software application development to ensure a highlevel of quality for each assigned project.
+ Engineer.implement & support code for break-fix, maintenance, and enhancements, andintegrating container platforms with automated CI/CD pipelines
+ Designand develop cloud-native applications, features, and enhancements with anemphasis on clean, highly efficient, supportable, and well documented code forthe full technology stack
+ Ensurethat the Delta methodology, standards, and procedures are adopted andimplemented
+ Provideefficient solution and deliverables to shorten the project life cycle, whereapplicable
+ Ownthe quality of the product delivered by engaging closely in testing activities.
+ Createvisual models (flowcharts, class and activity diagrams, sequence diagrams)
+ Leadresolution of issues with interfacing systems built on different technologies
+ Facilitateand participate in regular scrum ceremonies
+ Supportoperationally critical environment, using monitoring tools and scripts, datafeeds and associated scripts, research, and analysis of production issues,capturing logging
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Atleast 10 years of hands-on experience as a Software Engineer or relatedtechnical engineering capacity.
+ Atleast 4 years of experience leading software engineering team/s as a Tech lead.
+ Expertisein Java 11/J2EE framework, design patterns and tools
+ SolidDatabase Experience: SQL development Skills (must have), PL/SQL programmingexperience, Oracle 18c or TOAD
+ Proficientin RESTful APIs and microservices with Swagger, JSON, POSTMAN
+ Experiencein Agile methodologies, DevSecOps, CI/CD pipeline and Build tools (GIT,Jenkins, Maven or Gradle)
+ Cloud-nativedevelopment using Spring Framework (SpringBoot, SpringBatch) and workingknowledge of developing and deploying applications in AWS
+ Experiencewith Containers, Kubernetes, RedHat OpenShift, Developer Workspace, Devops,Jenkins, Code Build/Code Pipeline, API Gateways, Lambdas, Nexus, Gitlab,Agility, or related technologies
+ Experiencewith Angular framework
+ Stronganalytical skills and excellent verbal and written communication skills
+ Abilityto work well with others in a time sensitive and team environment with minimalsupervision, be results oriented and capable of meeting deadlines withattention to detail and follow through
+ Strongtechnical and non-technical communication skills. Assures smooth flowing,timely transmission of critical information
+ Excellentjudgment and problem-solving skills; individual should be able to resolveproblems in a calm and quick manner and display a high degree of initiative anddrive
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Experience engineering software with Red Hat OpenShiftService on AWS (ROSA) Cluster, Compute pool, Compute node, Namespace, Pod,App, Service, and ROSA deployment
+ Experience working with various AWS cloud services suchas EC2, S3 bucket, AWS code pipeline, CloudFormation, Auto Scaling, VPC,Route 53, ELB, etc.
+ Experience with automation and test tools (Postman,Mockito, SonarQube)
+ Experience with test driven development
+ AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate
+ AWS Certified Developer – Associate
