    Key Responsibilities:

    •Lead multidisciplinary teams for the planning, design, and execution of wastewater treatment facilities, of moderate to high complexity on a local, statewide and nationwide projects as opportunities arise, including upgrades and new construction.

    •Develop engineering plans, specifications, and cost estimates.

    •Review and sign off on designs that meet federal, state, and local regulations, while upholding CDM Smiths quality standards.

    •Oversee permitting, regulatory compliance, and environmental impact assessments.

    •Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and success.

    •Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers.

    •Manage budgets, schedules, and deliverables across multiple projects.

    •Conduct site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress and quality.

    •Highlight technical luminescence by developing white papers and technical documentation, publishing in journals, and presenting/ speaking at local, regional, and national industry conferences.

    •Partner with sales teams as needed to meet with clients to understand and deliver on their evolving needs and preparing proposals for future work.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    •Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering or related field.

    •Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.

    •Minimum 10 years of experience in wastewater treatment design and delivery.

    •Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental regulations.

    •Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills

    Preferred Qualifications:

    •Design-build project delivery.

    •Advanced treatment technologies (e.g., membrane filtration, nutrient removal).

    •Relationship with municipal clients and public agencies in the Dallas/ Fort Worth area.

    Background Check and Drug Testing Information:

    CDM Smith Inc. and its divisions and subsidiaries (hereafter collectively referred to as “CDM Smith”) reserves the right to require background checks including criminal, employment, education, licensure, etc. as well as credit and motor vehicle when applicable for certain positions.     Additional Compensation:

    All bonuses at CDM Smith are discretionary and may or may not apply to this position.

    Hybrid Work Options may be considered for successful candidate.
