    Position Title: Medical Biller

     

    Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Billing for an organization located near Mars, PA. This organization provides a wide range of senior care, health, and rehabilitation services. The ideal candidate will have expertise in billing and payment posting, ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounts receivable transactions. Your role will play a critical part in maintaining a smooth revenue cycle tor their diverse services, including senior living communities, home care, hospice, outpatient, and therapy services.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Billing:

    Generate and issue invoices for a wide range of care services, including senior living, skilled nursing, home care, and outpatient services.

     

    Ensure compliance with service agreements, insurance policies, and applicable healthcare regulations.

     

    Address billing discrepancies by coordinating with internal departments, including admissions and patient services.

     

    Prepare and submit claims to insurance companies, Medicare, and Medicaid as applicable.

    Payment Posting:

    Accurately enter payments received (cash, checks, and electronic transfers) into the accounts receivable system.

     

    Reconcile posted payments with bank statements and patient billing systems.

     

    Manage and resolve unapplied payments or discrepancies to maintain accurate account balances.

    Revenue Cycle Management:

    Work collaboratively with other departments to monitor and manage the overall revenue cycle.

     

    Track and follow up on outstanding payments or insurance claims to reduce accounts receivable aging.

     

    Prepare reports on accounts receivable status, payment trends, and delinquent accounts for management review.

    Customer and Client Communication:

    Respond to patient or payer inquiries regarding invoices, payments, or account details with professionalism and clarity.

     

    Serve as a point of contact for resolving disputes or escalations concerning billing errors or payment issues.

    Compliance:

    Ensure billing and payment posting processes comply with industry standards, healthcare regulations (including HIPAA), and organizational policies.

     

    Document procedures and maintain accurate, auditable records for all accounts receivable transactions.

     

    Schedule: The hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5pm.

    Requirements

    Qualifications:

    Education and Experience:

    Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

     

    Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in accounts receivable, billing, or payment processing, preferably in healthcare or senior care services environments.

    Knowledge and Skills:

    Strong understanding of billing practices and payment posting processes in healthcare or senior living services.

     

    Experience with healthcare billing systems, Medicare/Medicaid claims, and third-party payment reconciliation.

     

    Proficiency in accounting software and tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, or industry-specific software).

     

    High attention to detail with excellent data-entry skills and accuracy.

     

    Familiarity with revenue cycle management and key performance indicators (e.g., days sales outstanding, aging reports).

    Additional Qualifications:

    Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

     

    Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

     

    Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills to resolve payment discrepancies and streamline processes.
