Job Summary and Qualifications

Our Surgical Service and Central Sterile teams are a committed, caring group of colleagues. We have a passion for creating positive patient interactions. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next opportunity. We are seeking a Manager of Central Sterile Processing. As our Manager, you will provide leadership for the daily operations for the SPD Department. You will ensure the maintenance and quality sterilization procedures and accurate record keeping of these procedures. You actions will assure adequate instrumentation functionality and availability for surgical services and various other areas of the hospital.

Your duties and responsibilities may include:

+ You will model responsibility and accountability

+ You will provide instruction and direction to the team

+ You will handle upset customers and communicate with other departments as needed

+ You will perform quality control and continually evaluates work process and productivity

+ You will ensure clear communications to the team such as clarifying roles and responsibilities of team members

+ You will assess and suggest procedural changes to help attain departmental goals

+ You will involve your team in team decisions and actions

+ You will assist the Director in maintaining and monitoring the budget

What qualifications you will need:

+ High School diploma or equivalent (GED)

+ 3-5 years’ experience in SPD (Sterile Processing Distribution), 2-3 years’ experience as Sterile Processing Supervisor or above

+ Current CS/SPD certification with either the CBSSPD or the IAHCSMM.

+ Must be able to lift and or carry 50 pounds
