Main Responsibilities:

+ Manage all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and cash management, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.

+ Prepare and deliver timely financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in compliance with organizational and funder requirements.

+ Support financial planning and forecasting efforts to align with organizational goals and strategic initiatives.

+ Drive improvements in financial systems and processes to enhance overall efficiency and accuracy.

+ Lead the annual audit process, coordinating with external auditors to ensure successful and timely completion.

+ Create and enforce policies and procedures related to budgets, accounting practices, and financial management.

+ Supervise and mentor accounting staff to foster a high-performing and collaborative finance team.

+ Collaborate with program and development teams to manage grant budgets, reporting, and compliance effectively.

Requirements:

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field

+ 3+ years in a Controller or Management role

+ Experience in a nonprofit, healthcare, or human services organization

+ Proficiency in accounting software such as Great Plains is highly preferred
