    We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Corporate Financial Accounting team. The Accountant will play a critical role in managing and improving our financial processes, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. This role requires a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments.

    Essential Functions of the Job:

    Financial Reporting: (1) Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies, (2) Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements for the company and its subsidiaries, (3) Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and potential areas for improvement.

     

    General Ledger Management: (1) Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness, (2) Lead the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis, (3) Oversee intercompany transactions and reconciliations.

     

    Audit and Compliance: (1) Coordinate and support internal and external audits, including the preparation of audit schedules and responding to auditor inquiries, (2) Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations, (3) Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting standards and regulations.

     

    Process Improvement: (1) Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in financial operations, (2) Participate in the development and implementation of new accounting systems and processes.

     

    Cross-Department Collaboration: (1) Work closely with the finance team and other departments to support business initiatives and ensure accurate financial reporting, (2) Provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff, (3) additional duties as assigned.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    1. Strong attention to detail.

    2. Demonstrated capability to communicate effectively, both verbally, in writing and electronically, with the ability to formulate and deliver ideas and material in a clear and concise manner.

    3. Ability to build and foster effective business relations with manager and employees.

    4. Ability to make timely and effective decisions and produce results through effective time management skills.

    5. The ability to make timely and effective decisions and produce results through planning and the implementation and the evaluation of business processes, metrics, systems, policies, and programs, stressing accountability and continuous improvement.

    6. Strong analytical skills and computer skills, including mastery of Microsoft Office Suite

    7. Strong written and verbal communication skills with experience interacting with internal team members and senior management.

    8. Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving environment.

    9. Able to work irregular and/or extended hours including weekends and holidays as needed to meet objectives.

    10. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standards

    11. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

    Education and Experience:

    + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Economics, or related field required.

    + CPA certification preferred.

    + 1-3 years prior business accounting experience (full-time employment) required, preferably in a multi-facility manufacturing environment.

    + Experience with JD Edwards or SAP preferred

    Working Conditions:

    Work performed in an office environment, with frequent sitting for extended periods of time and occasional lifting of 10 pounds independently; and stooping, reaching, and/or bending to perform accounting clerical/filing requirements.
