Overview:
St. Mary’s Healthcare is seeking a compassionate and skilled Pain Management Physician to join our growing multidisciplinary team. This is a full-time, hospital-employed opportunity focused on delivering comprehensive, evidence-based care for patients experiencing acute and chronic pain. The ideal candidate will be trained in interventional pain management and passionate about improving quality of life through collaborative, non-opioid, and minimally invasive approaches.

Position Highlights:
+ Full-time, hospital-employed position in a well-supported outpatient setting.
+ Collaborate with orthopedic surgery, neurology, physical therapy, behavioral health, and primary care teams.
+ Access to advanced imaging and procedural suites within a modern facility.
+ Help expand and shape the future of pain management services at St. Mary’s
Responsibilities:
+ Evaluate, diagnose, and manage a wide spectrum of acute and chronic pain conditions
+ Perform interventional procedures such as epidural injections, nerve blocks, joint injections, and spinal cord stimulation trials
+ Collaborate with specialists in orthopedics, neurology, physical medicine, and behavioral health to ensure continuity of care
+ Counsel patients on pain management strategies, rehabilitation goals, and lifestyle adjustments
+ Monitor treatment outcomes and adjust care plans accordingly
+ Participate in clinical documentation, performance improvement, and departmental initiatives
Qualifications:
Required Credentials - Board Certified/Board Eligible in Anesthesiology, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, or Neurology, with fellowship training in Pain Medicine
New York State medical license or eligibility to obtain
Preferred Experience - Proficiency in fluoroscopy- and ultrasound-guided procedures
Interest in non-opioid, integrative, and minimally invasive pain therapies
Education - MD or DO from an accredited institution. Completion of ACGME-accredited Pain Management Fellowship
Skills - Strong clinical, diagnostic, and patient-centered communication skills
Compensation & Benefits:
+ Base Salary - $475K (commensurate with experience)

Complexity of Work:
This role requires advanced clinical expertise in interventional and non-interventional pain therapies, critical thinking, and a team-based approach to managing complex pain conditions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate compassion, clinical innovation, and a commitment to improving patient function and quality of life.
Personal Protective Equipment:
Adherence to Standard Precautions and use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) are required to maintain the safety of both patients and staff.
