    Salary Range: $72,500.00 to $75,000.00 Annually

     

    Wage: $72,500-$75,000/Annually

    Summary of Position Functions:

    Plans, directs and administers the Career Services Program which includes: Academic and Career Technical Training, Advanced Career Training, Occupational Career Training, Counseling, and the Career Preparation Period.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    + Plans, organizes, directs and administers the Career Services Program.

    + Provides supervision, training, assessment, and leadership for assigned staff.

    + Demonstrates ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

    + Establishes the Career Services Program’s mission and strategic plan, objectives, goals; and evaluates program effectiveness.

    + Oversees the introductory phase in the program for new arrivals.

    + Acts as a trusted advisor to the Center Director and is a member of the senior leadership team.

    + Plans, organizes, and controls the use of overtime and on-call staff to ensure compliance with Center and ETR policy and procedures.

    + Demonstrates ability to analyze problems, identifies alternative solutions, assigns accountability and implements recommendations.

    + Demonstrates ability to apply principles of conflict resolution to resolve interpersonal problems that arise.

    + Strong analytical skills in evaluation of academic and vocational programs, policies, operations and systems.

    + Working knowledge of academic and vocational education programs, policies and practices.

    + Demonstrates knowledge of principles and practices of budget preparation and administration.

    + Working knowledge of principles and practices of organizations administration and personnel management.

    Skills & Competencies:

    + Demonstrates knowledge of management practices and principles; proven ability to lead and support teams.

    + Working knowledge of the methods and practices of Job Corps administration or a similar program.

    + Proven track record of meeting and exceeding goals and objectives.

    + Comprehensive knowledge of effective instructional strategies, classroom management and content field.

    + Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

    + Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

    + Evidence of the ability to consistently make good decisions through a combination of analysis, wisdom, experience and judgment.

    + Proven ability to balance the delivery of programs against the realities of a budget.

    + Capacity to set and enforce accountability.

    + Proficient in the use of computer software (Microsoft Office Suite, Cost Point, Outlook, ADP, Citrix, and others)

    Educational Requirements/Experiences:

    + Bachelor’s degree in education, social services or a related field.

    + Three years’ related experience; one of which was in Management, and Director capacity.

    + Must possess a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
