Warehouse Lead - National City, CA
Brief Description:
Coordinate workflow of the warehouse and responsible departments under the direction of the Branch Manager (SD). Monitor personnel performance, attendance, quality, and quantity of work. Serves as the in-house lift truck training and certification trainer.
Job Responsibilities:
+ Create and maintain a positive work environment, creating a culture of safety & accountability.
+ Ensure the accuracy of the inventory, overseeing physical inventories, audits & cycle counts.
+ Manage temporary and AFC employees equally, applying company policy wherever needed.
+ Train, delegate, and oversee day-to-day operations of warehouse staff in Receiving, Shipping, Order Processing, Inventory Control, and Shop, ensuring all are performing at optimum levels.
+ Consolidate and maximize space in warehouse. Identify areas of continuous improvement.
+ Manage the work schedule of warehouse personnel including overtime; only authorized after discussion and approval of Branch Manager and/or Director of Operations.
+ Discuss and resolve personnel issues with Branch Manager and/or Director of Operations.
+ Maintain the overall housekeeping of the warehouse on a daily basis.
+ Understand and follow all company rules and regulations.
+ Perform all other duties as assigned or required
Education/Requirements:
+ High School Diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.
+ **1-3 years of electric stand-up forklift experience**
+ **1-3 years of experience using a Warehouse Management System (WMS)**
+ **1-3 years of experience in a warehouse/distribution environment**
+ **1-3 years as a Warehouse Lead in a distribution or warehouse operations** environment
+ **1-3 years Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook experience**
+ Must be able to lift up to 40-50 pounds of uneven weight
+ Ability to stand for 8 hours per day or longer.
+ Ability to work extended hours under OT, including weekends.
+ Good communication skills, written and verbal required.
+ Ability to calculate basic mathematical equations.
+ Must possess ability to read, write, speak both English & Spanish-THIS IS A MUST.
+ Basic computer skills are required (Email, Excel, Word).
+ Prioritize and delegate work for temp and perm warehouse staff required.
Position: Full-time
Hourly Pay: $22.00
Work Hours: 7AM-3:30PM, Monday-Friday
