Position Description
The Neuromotor Control Lab at Harvard University, under the direction of Dr. Maurice Smith, is seeking a postdoctoral fellow to study human motor learning and motor control. The lab is in the Harvard Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences. The fellow will design and run human experiments, perform data analysis, and create computational models of learning and memory. A PhD is required. An ideal candidate will be: highly motivated with a record of high scientific productivity, possess strong skills in data analysis, and have a strong background in the neuroscience, learning and memory, motor control, biomechanics, control theory, or a related field. Strong statistical understanding and a talent for data analysis and visualization using Matlab or Python are expected. Specific experience with experimental design, computational modeling, and
data analysis for studying human motor learning is a plus.
The review process is competitive, based on academic record, as well as professional and extra-curricular experience.
Basic Qualifications
PhD is required.
Additional Qualifications
Strong background in neuroscience, learning and memory, motor control, biomechanics, control theory, or a related field. Strong statistical understanding for data analysis and visualization using Matlab or Python are expected.
