    PDS Tech Commercial is hiring **two experienced Fire Alarm Technicians** to support high-impact projects in the **Nashville and Shelbyville, TN** areas. If you take pride in your technical skills and want to work on recognizable locations like **Dollywood Hotel, Vanderbilt University** , and other key sites, this is your opportunity to join a team where your expertise makes a real difference.

     

    This **full-time, Monday–Friday role** no overnights for the Shelbyville- location offers competitive pay, steady hours, and the chance to work across multiple sites. Travel with the team from **the hub** !

     

    About the Role

     

    As a Fire Alarm Technician, you'll be responsible for the **installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair** of fire alarm systems across various commercial locations. You’ll help ensure safety systems are reliable, up to code, and functioning as designed to protect people and property.

    Your Day-to-Day:

    + Install, test, and commission fire alarm systems

    + Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and maintenance

    + Diagnose and resolve issues in a timely manner

    + Maintain compliance with NFPA standards and local fire codes

    + Travel to different job sites (with mileage/per diem compensation where applicable)

    + Work independently or as part of a mobile team with flexibility on start time (6:30–7:00 AM)

     

    What You Bring

    Required:

    + **Proven experience installing and servicing fire alarm systems**

    + Strong knowledge of **fire safety codes** and **NFPA standards**

    + Ability to interpret blueprints and technical documentation

    + **Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between job sites**

    + Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills

    + Strong communication and time management abilities

    Preferred:

    + NICET certification (or willingness to obtain)

    + Experience working with multiple manufacturers' systems

    + Prior experience on commercial or institutional projects (hotels, universities, etc.)

    **Pay Details:** $25.00 to $29.00 per hour
