Description:

Supports delivery of security, safety and parking services on campus by supervising the day to day operations of a designated shift of Security & Safety Officers in the field.

:

+ Promotes the security goals of crime and loss prevention through interactions with other departments, and the supervision and activities of staff.

+ Promotes the Magis goals of customer service (care, concern, respect, cooperation) through interactions with other departments and supervision of staff.

+ Handles the day to day Human Resource responsibilities of shift.

+ Provides and participates in training of officers and other employees.

+ Develops staffing schedules.

+ Assists the Safety Department in the accomplishment of safety goals and the enforcement of safety rules and regulations.

+ Assists the Parking Department in the accomplishment of parking goals through enforcement of rules and regulations, motorist assist services and traffic control.

**Position Requirements** :

Minimum Education:

**Required:** Associates Degree OR equivalent training acquired via work experience or

education

**Preferred:** Bachelors Degree

**Specify Degree(s):** Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement/Security Administration/Fire Service

Minimum Experience:

**Required:** 3-5 years of previous job-related experience

Licensure/Certifications:

Required:

General - Valid Illinois drivers license

Preferred:

Basic Life Support (CPR)

**Other:** IAHSS Basic, Advanced, Supervisory Certification Preferred

**Compensation** :

Pay Range: $23.18 - $35.92 per hour
