SUMMARY OF JOB
The Senior Corporate Accountant reports to the Redeemer Health System Corporate Controller. This position is a key member of the Corporate Finance team, responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting across the health system. This position requires deep knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and experience in healthcare financial operations, including monthly close, financial statement preparation, account analyses, audit support, fixed asset accounting and internal controls for all health system divisions as assigned. The Senior Corporate Accountant plays a critical role in producing timely, accurate, and compliant financial reports that inform leadership decision-making and support mission-driven care delivery.

RECRUITMENT REQUIREMENTS
+ Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
+ CPA required; MBA a plus.
+ Minimum of 5 years progressive accounting experience, 2+ years in healthcare or nonprofit healthcare finance a plus.
+ Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), healthcare specific accounting standards and consolidated financial reporting.
+ Experience with PeopleSoft General Ledger and Accounts Payable systems a plus.
+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools.
+ Excellent organizational, analytics and communication skills.
+ This position requires ongoing communications with other members of Senior Management on a routine basis.
+ Knowledge of operating and capital budget development and forecasting at the corporate level is required.
