**Location:** Baytown, TX

**Schedule:** Monday–Friday, 8 AM – 5 PM

**Pay Rate:** $18/hr

About the Role

Our client, a reputable logistics and freight company based in Baytown, is seeking an organized, communicative, and tech-savvy **Dispatcher** to coordinate shipments, support drivers, and ensure timely delivery of goods. If you’re someone who enjoys keeping operations running smoothly and thrives in a fast-paced environment, this could be a great fit!

Key Responsibilities

+ Answer inbound calls from drivers, carriers, and customers promptly and professionally.

+ Schedule and dispatch drivers and trucks using internal software/systems.

+ Monitor daily routes, delivery deadlines, and driver statuses.

+ Communicate proactively with drivers on changes to load assignments, routes, or schedules.

+ Troubleshoot issues such as delays, traffic problems, and mechanical issues.

+ Maintain accurate records of shipments, schedules, mileage, and incidents.

+ Provide timely updates to customers regarding delivery status.

+ Collaborate closely with operations and customer service teams to optimize efficiency.

Required Qualifications

+ **Excellent verbal communication skills** —clear and professional on the phone.

+ **Computer literate** : proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) and ability to learn dispatch or TMS software quickly.

+ Strong **multi-tasking** , time management, and organizational abilities.

+ Ability to remain calm and solve problems under pressure.

+ Prior experience in logistics, transportation, or dispatch is a **plus** but not required.
