Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior Accountant to join our team located in the Greater Philadelphia Region. This is a long-term Senior Accountant contract position requires someone with strong attention to detail to manage critical accounting functions and ensure financial accuracy. The ideal Senior Accountant candidate will excel in overseeing month-end processes, reconciling accounts, and producing insightful reports.

What you get to do every single day:

• Prepare and file quarterly tax returns in compliance with organizational requirements.

• Record and upload monthly journal entries with precision.

• Compile comprehensive monthly reporting packages for management review.

• Perform reconciliations of accounts on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy.

• Monitor daily transactions related to accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash applications, and foreign exchange variations.

• Take ownership of the month-end close process, ensuring timely and accurate completion.

• Analyze and report monthly variances in profit and loss statements and balance sheets.

• Support audit and review processes by coordinating with external firms throughout the year.

• Oversee outsourced teams responsible for accounts receivable, accounts payable, intercompany transactions, and bank reconciliations.

Requirements

Other requirements for the Senior Accountant position include and are not limited to:

• Proven expertise in managing month-end close processes.

• Strong understanding of general ledger accounting and journal entries.

• Proficiency in account and bank reconciliations.

• Ability to conduct detailed variance analysis and interpret financial data.

• Experience with balance sheet reconciliation.

• Familiarity with tax return preparation and filing.

• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with outsourced accounting teams.
