    Description

    Tutors provide students with guidance and support in various subject areas.

    Candidates must have an enthusiasm for their particular subject and the desire to assist

    others in learning. Relevant academic course work or professional experience is

     

    required. A degree is preferred but not required. Current college students who have

     

    successfully completed sufficient course work are encouraged to apply.

     

    Examples of Duties

    Currently we are seeking people for the following:

    + Math, algebra through calculus 2 and statistics

    + Biology, Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology

    + Chemistry

    We offer tutoring services on campus at all Atlantic Cape locations, and online and

    remote 7 days/week. Hours are flexible: days, evenings and weekends.

     

    Supplemental Information

     

    $16-$18 per hour, up to 26 hours per week - pay range is dependent upon qualifications and degree

     

    Paid sick leave in accordance with NJ Sick Leave Law

     

    Defined Contribution Retirement Program (DCRP) (https://www.nj.gov/treasury/pensions/pension-active-dcrp.shtml)

     

    Eligible part-time employees will be enrolled into the DCRP (Defined Contribution Retirement Plan) pension (https://www.nj.gov/treasury/pensions/pension-active-dcrp.shtml) . Employees contribute 5% of their base salary and the college contributes 3% of base salary. Investment options are managed through Prudential Retirement. Life insurance benefits through DCRP are payable to the beneficiary at 1.5X the member's salary.
