The Senior Manager - Technical Project Management, is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and coordinating both complex technical projects as well as a team of Technical Project Managers within Omnicell. This role is accountable for project success and plays a key role in setting strategy and ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Responsibilities
+ Hire, train, supervise, and evaluate a Technical Project Management team consisting of both direct reports and dotted line reports.
+ Provide organizational, technical and project-level leadership to the team in order to:
+ Develop and communicate program vision, goals, and milestones.
+ Identify and secure commitment from teams across the company for new initiatives, drive consensus on the technical approach, set timelines, and lead cross-functional development teams from design through delivery
+ Partner with various departments at Omnicell, including engineering, product, manufacturing, operations, supply chain, quality etc.
+ Identify risks and develop appropriate mitigation strategies to address them
+ Anticipate needs and proactively manage aspects of the project that may be going off track, develop a recovery plan, and communicate the plan to all stakeholders
+ Manage functional interdependencies; evaluate implications of changes to plans on timelines/scope based on program/product development progress and business strategy.
+ Drive teams to meet commitments to achieve success, holding self and team accountable for results
+ Influence technical processes and develop changes to drive continuous improvements
+ Demonstrate effective tailoring of processes within constraints to minimize effort/maximize value.
+ Lead change management, communicate impacts, lead re-planning activities, and develop a structured methodology to approve and document changes
+ Demonstrate skill, maturity and diplomacy to identify and interact with stakeholders, assess their needs, provide metrics/status reports as needed, and manage stakeholder’s expectations throughout the lifetime of the program.
+ Communicate effectively to all levels of the organization, entry through leadership.
Required Knowledge & Skills
+ Strong Organizational Development and Leadership skills
+ Strong Technical Project Management skills
+ Excellent communication skills, coupled with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization, including executive level.
+ Demonstrated success at public speaking and detailed report writing.
+ Team Player and Self Starter; Drives teams and self to meet commitments to achieve success.; Accountable for results.
+ Adept at creating effective presentations, visuals and outputs.
+ Possesses strong business acumen
+ Experience in budget tracking
+ Ability to deal with ambiguity
+ Experience articulating possible paths forward with pro(s) and con(s)
Basic Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s Degree
+ 10+ years of technical management experience
+ 5 or more years of direct or indirect people management experience
+ Strong familiarity with both Software and Hardware product development lifecycles and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications
+ Master’s degree
+ Project Management certification or certificate (PMP, PgMP, CPM, DAU, etc.)
+ New product introduction (NPI) experience

+ Up to 20% travel
