    UPMC Williamsport is currently seeking a full-time Advanced Diagnostic Technologist to join our dedicated imaging team. This is an excellent opportunity to advance your career in a supportive and innovative healthcare environment.

    Schedule:

    Typical hours are 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., with rotating on-call, weekend, and holiday responsibilities.

    About the Role

     

    As an Advanced Diagnostic Technologist, you will perform a wide range of imaging procedures with a high level of independence and expertise. This role requires sound judgment, technical skill, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care using ionizing radiation for diagnostic purposes.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Perform advanced imaging procedures independently, ensuring high-quality diagnostic results.**

    + **Support Clinical Specialists with QA initiatives, regulatory testing, and research activities.**

    + **Operate specialty equipment (e.g., O.R., Fluoroscopy) and perform electrocardiograms and lab draws as needed.**

    + **Monitor and maintain quality control standards, adhering to the latest imaging protocols.**

    + **Provide coverage for off-shifts, on-call duties, and satellite locations while maintaining clear communication with leadership.**

    + **Collaborate with Radiologists on protocol development and imaging standards.**

    + **Participate in system-wide standardization efforts and workgroups.**

    + **Mentor and train new staff and student technologists.**

    Graduate of an ARRT approved school of Radiologic Technology.

     

    2 years Diagnostic experience required for the advanced tech level.

     

    Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.

    Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:

    ARRT certified in Radiography.

     

    CPR or BLS Required.

     

    CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire.

     

    + ARRT Certificate

    + Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)

    + Act 31 Child Abuse Reporting with renewal

    + Act 33 with renewal

    + Act 34 with renewal

    + Act 73 FBI Clearance with renewal
