Job Description
The Territory Sales Manager drives territory revenue growth by cultivating contractor relationships, expanding distributor pull-through, and supporting manufacturer’s representatives in the field. Leveraging data insights and deep industry knowledge, this role identifies high-volume opportunities, accelerates product adoption, and delivers technical training that positions Centrotherm as the preferred venting solution for plumbing and HVAC professionals.
Job Duties:
+ Develop and execute territory business plans that align with national goals for residential, commercial, and OEM segments.
+ Conduct market research and competitive analysis to spot emerging opportunities, building-code changes, and high-volume contractors.
+ Track pipeline, leads, and KPIs in CRM (Salesforce/MS Dynamics) to ensure forecast accuracy and territory visibility.
+ Build and maintain strong partnerships with independent manufacturer’s reps, wholesale distributors, contractors, specifiers, and key buying-group contacts.
+ Mentor rep agencies - sharing best practices, setting joint targets, and realigning efforts as needed to maximize market penetration.
+ Support major bids and negotiate pricing programs to secure large-volume orders.
+ Deliver product presentations, job-site demos, and lunch-and-learn sessions that drive specification and installation confidence.
+ Lead training seminars, trade-show demos, and customer site visits; manage product displays and promotional materials.
+ Provide Voice-of-Customer feedback to Product Management for continuous improvement.
+ Plan and execute territory campaigns, trade shows, and industry association events to boost brand visibility.
+ Represent Centrotherm on local industry committees; present technical papers or talks to elevate market credibility.
+ Monitor pricing trends, competitive moves, and new technologies; translate insights to tactical recommendations.
+ Prepare monthly territory reports highlighting wins, challenges, and action plans for leadership review.
+ Partner closely with Regional Sales Managers, Marketing, and Engineering to align promotions, product launches, and customer proposals.
+ Assist in configuring product solutions that meet unique customer requirements.
+ Perform additional business-development tasks assigned by leadership.
+ Assigned territories are subject to change as market demands evolve
Requirements
Job Requirements
Experience and Required Skills:
+ 3–5 years in business development, field sales, or account management within plumbing, HVAC, or building-materials industries.
+ Proven success in opening new accounts, nurturing contractor relationships, and exceeding territory targets.
+ Strong understanding of two-step distribution, contractor pull-through, and rep-agency dynamics.
+ Proficient with CRM platforms (Salesforce, MS Dynamics, or HubSpot) and Microsoft Office; Power BI or similar analytics tools a plus.
+ Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
+ Self-starter who excels working remotely and managing time, priorities, and travel schedules.
+ Analytical thinker with attention to detail and a passion for field engagement.
+ Ability and willingness to travel up to 60–70% within assigned territories; valid driver’s license required.

+ Frequently Sitting, standing, walking, keyboarding
+ Required to wear Safety Glasses & Steel/Composite toe shoes while in Warehouse or Manufacturing Areas
Salary Description
$80,000 to $100,000/ year
