Description

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a skilled Drone Inspection Specialist to join our Oil & Gas inspection team. You will operate advanced UAV platforms equipped with thermal, LiDAR, ultrasonic, and high-definition visual payloads to conduct inspections of offshore and onshore assets, pipelines, storage tanks, and confined spaces. Your work will directly enhance safety, reduce downtime, and deliver precise data to our engineering teams.

MAJOR RESPOSIBILITIES:

+ Plan, execute, and document drone-based inspections in compliance with safety and regulatory standards.

+ Operate drones in challenging environments including offshore platforms, refineries, flare stacks, and confined spaces.

+ Utilize thermal, IR, LiDAR, and UT payloads for detailed asset condition assessments.

+ Analyze inspection data, prepare detailed reports, and recommend maintenance actions.

+ Collaborate with engineers, safety teams, and clients to ensure inspection goals are met.

+ Maintain and calibrate UAV systems, ensuring operational readiness.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

+ Required: FAA Part 107 or equivalent drone certification (Transport Canada, EASA, etc.).

+ Minimum 2 years’ UAV operational experience in industrial environments.

+ Strong understanding of Oil & Gas safety standards and confined space protocols.

+ Experience with payloads such as Elios 3, DJI M300, Voliro, or Skygauge.

+ Proficiency in data processing software (Pix4D, DroneDeploy, Inspector 5).

+ Ability to work in remote or offshore locations for extended periods.
