    This candidate will work closely with the Optical Components Center team to plan, drive, and execute multiple projects within the manufacturing center including capital projects, NRE efforts, facilities projects, and support long\-term planning\.

    What You Will Be Doing

    As the Project Management and Planning Operations Rep\. Staff, you will work with a cross\-functional team consisting of manufacturing engineering, production planning and control, design engineering, test engineering, procurement, configuration management, and quality and production centers as applicable to achieve hardware rates\.

    Your responsibilities include:

    • Drive Affordability and Producibility, resolve yield issues/drivers, proactively, identify and manage Risks and Opportunities, develop workarounds and execution of the project schedule\.

    • Responsible for overseeing and executing a multi\-million $ portfolio of projects\. This position requires continuous interface across all programmatic functions, leading discussions with internal customers on schedule and technical performance\.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Bachelor’s degree

    • Related professional level career experience in planning, production operations, Manufacturing Engineering or Quality Engineering\.

    • A broad base of knowledge regarding production, facilities, capital planning, or master planning

    • Ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization including non\-technical

     

    personnel\.

     

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    • Demonstrated skills in team building and leading through influence

    • Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

    Desired Skills:

    Experience with tasks such as writing plans, SOWs, evaluating suppliers, evaluating engineering designs, capacity analysis, forecasting for staffing purposes, etc\.

     

    • Understand quality assurance tasks such as developing a quality plan, ensuring proper parts

    handling, assisting with quality metrics, etc

    • Prepare and execute to capital, rate tooling and test equipment plans

    • Provide / develop inputs to the program IMS and lead production operations tasks

    • Develop estimates for headcount, capital and tooling for production ramp

    • Help establish priorities for production during development, low rate production and production

    • Evaluate and understand impacts to production from changes

    **Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.

    **Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.

    **Schedule for this Position:** 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
