+ Job Summary :
+ Provides operational oversight and management of staff within work units providing radiology services. This includes providing proficient, high-quality, radiology imaging services when needed, providing departmental education and training of new and existing staff, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, managing performance and timekeeping, planning equipment allocation and maintenance, assisting with budget preparation, serving as a primary technical resource, and supporting all accreditation processes affecting areas of oversight. This position will include lead radiographer, lead CT technologist, and working technologist duties.
+ Education :
+ Associate degree or equivalent certificate program with successful completion of an image modality program, from an accredited school. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
+ Registration/Certification/Licensure :
+ Appropriate state licensure
+ Modality appropriate national certification (ARRT, NMTCB, or ARDMS) required.
+ Licensure in Computed Tomography required.
+ Experience :
+ Position requires minimum five (5) years’ experience in radiology. Minimum two (2) years’ Supervisory and/or lead experience .
+ Other Requirements :
+ Maintains unit-specific and hospital competencies, mandatory learning, and any clinical certifications required in accordance with the Staff Education and Training policy GA-057 and/or any other department requirements.
+ This position is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the CT suite including; policy and protocol development, staffing, training, vendor communications for applications and service issues, inventory, budget, ACR accreditation, and public relations with all members of the medical and non-medical communities.
+ Responsible for the day-to-day integration and operation of the various modalities in the Radiology Department and in all areas of the hospital where imaging is involved. Serves as a liaison between all imaging modalities and hospital service and support departments. Advocates for the Radiology Department in day-to-day public relations with all patients, families, physicians, staff, and peers.
+ Maintains and keeps current equipment records (maintenance, PMs, supplies needed) for X-Ray and CT equipment.
+ Effectively communicates with all patient populations and staff by implementing organization-wide communication techniques as a daily practice.
+ Effectively advocates for quality patient safety and satisfaction as a daily practice.
+ Demonstrated proficiency of computer skills necessary to effectively complete position requirements to include Microsoft Office applications with an emphasis on Excel, Access, Word and Outlook.
+ Ability to work independently, prioritize concurrent projects, meet deadlines, follow through with deliverables, and produce quality work.
+ Ability to work on-call and holidays as needed.
