Description
We are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst to join our team in the Montpelier, VT area. This long-term contract position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to financial planning and decision-making processes. The ideal candidate will excel in financial modeling, budgeting, and variance analysis while driving data-driven insights that support organizational goals.
Responsibilities:
• Conduct in-depth financial analysis to support business strategies and decision-making.
• Develop and maintain complex financial models to forecast performance and evaluate potential scenarios.
• Perform variance analysis to identify trends, discrepancies, and key drivers of financial outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver ad hoc financial reports and analyses as requested.
• Utilize advanced Excel techniques, including macros and VLOOKUPs, to analyze large datasets efficiently.
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with organizational objectives.
• Analyze cost center performance and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data and provide financial insights.
• Implement data mining techniques to uncover patterns and enhance financial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures while maintaining high data integrity.
Requirements • Proven experience in financial analysis, modeling, and reporting.
• Strong expertise in variance analysis and budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions, including macros and VLOOKUPs.
• Familiarity with data mining techniques and their application in financial analysis.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts effectively.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
• Prior experience with cost center analysis is preferred.
