Title Infrastructure Engineer Sr – Contractor

Location Remote- No other team members are in a hub location, sending HM remote template

Shift Times/Preferred Time Zone 8-5 EST flexible

Deployment could be night and weekends as needed (flexed throughout the week)

Key responsibilities:

The engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting firewall and VPN incidents, identifying root cause of incidents, and making appropriate recommendations to resolve them. The individual will need to review vulnerability, compliance risks, and fault analysis on perimeter devices and develop and implement remediation plans. This individual will also participate in the on-call rotation and annual projects as assigned.

Must have technical skills/experience (ask for alternative/tool/version):

1. : Proven experience in large enterprise data center environments with Fortinet firewalls (specifically larger models in clusters and High Availability setups) running 7.x code

2. Cisco firewalls running FTD 7.4.

3. VPN Support: Expertise in configuring and administrating client VPNs using Cisco AnyConnect and Cisco firewalls running FTD 7.4 supporting up to 30,000 users.

4. Fortinet Tools Proficiency with Fortinet tools: FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, Firepower Management Console, and FortiAuthenticator.

Self-Starter: Ability to work independently with minimal training.

Availability: Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and handle weekend change windows.

Flex Skills:

Experience in Splunk, LiveNX, and Entuity for troubleshooting

Certs in Fortinet or Cisco Firepower VPN technologies

Project management skills/self management skills
