Would you like to launch your career with one of the most successful logistics organizations worldwide? Here at Kuehne+Nagel, our Bensenville, IL site is looking for a new Gateway & Procurement Specialist to join our Air Logistics team.

How you create impact

You will be responsible for processing the Master Air Waybill (MAWB) consolidations, handling the coordination and management of trade lanes, and overseeing all aspects of the Air Transportation Agreement (ATA) process. This includes ensuring that all required documents and procedures are properly executed and compliant with regulations. It’s preferred that you have operational experience in the air freight industry. Ideally, you should have hands-on experience in various areas such as warehousing, airline operations, Ground Handling Agent (GHA) procedures, and freight forwarding, specifically with Air Export Gateway operations. This experience will provide a solid understanding of the flow of goods and the critical processes involved in air freight logistics, from handling documentation to coordinating with different stakeholders across the supply chain.

+ You will provide excellent customer service and ongoing.

+ Prepare, handle and process documentation needed for air export consolidations.

+ You will work and collaborate with the air export departments in the region.

+ Arrange bookings with carriers; improve cargo consolidations.

+ Ensure processing and delivery to the airport; constant communication with the warehouse team and truck dispatch during the consolidation process.

+ Track and trace shipments; monitor vendor performance; address and resolve service irregularities.

+ Help maintain relationships with vendors and internal customers.

+ Maintain compliance standards, including internal procedures, external government regulations and customer requirements.

+ Meet goals to support department, branch, product and our goals.

+ Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 8:00am-4:00pm

+ Reports to the Gateway and Procurement Manager

What we would like you to bring

+ Associate's degree or equivalent experience

+ 2+ years of experience in Air Logistics-Export

+ Good knowledge of international geography including countries, major cities
