    License and Certification Qualifications: Current professional HR certification issued by HRCI (PHR or SPHR) or SHRM (SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP) preferred.Education Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.Experience Qualifications: Three years in an office/clerical environment required. Experience in human resources or staffing preferred.Skills Qualifications: Ability to communicate with others in an effective and tactful manner; ability to exercise independent judgment, troubleshoot, and solve problems; ability to work accurately with employee data; ability to write routine correspondence and speak effectively with employees; ability to maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality; strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a high-volume processing environment; ability to work as part of a team; flexibility and adaptability to change; ability to represent Gwinnett County Public Schools in a positive and professional manner; strong computer skills with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office required; and knowledge of PeopleSoft preferred.Primary Responsibilities: Provide assistance in the organization, coordination, and implementation of all staffing administrative processes within the Human Resources Division.1. Enter, update, and/or retrieve information from various human resources systems to process transactions such as job postings, job offers, displacements, transfers, and separations.a. Ensure accuracy and timely processing of all human resources transactions.b. Handle inquiries concerning status of transactions, application, and hiring from applicants/divisions/schools.c. Prepare information on available qualified applicants for timely referrals to administrators/supervisors.d. Maintain databases that are pertinent to recruitment, retention, staffing, and certification.e. Handle certification questions from applicants/divisions/schools.f. Maintain accurate certification data in PeopleSoft with downloads from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC) for certificate conversions, upgrades, and endorsements.2. Prepare necessary documents and perform administrative tasks related to recruitment, retention, staffing, and certification which may include, but not limited to:a. Division/School rosters.b. Monthly Board reports.c. Confidential employment issues.d. Certification data from the GaPSC for renewals, new hires, upgrades, and endorsements for Gifted, ESOL, Coaching, and Reading.e. Student teacher process.f. Criminal Background Checks.g. Receive telephone calls and respond or refer as appropriate.h. Receive and distribute mail.i. Track separation forms and send out exit surveys.j. Assist other human resources staff with support when needed.k. Assist other human resources staff with certification support.l. Attend New Employee Orientation for new hire certification requirements3. Provide clerical and logistical support for administrators/supervisors that may include, but not limited to:a. Maintain administrator's calendar.b. Schedule recruitment trips.c. Assist with job fairs.d. Provide support with investigation documentation.e. Assist with preparation for presentations.f. Job evaluations.g. Assist with preparing for quarterly Administrative Assistant (AA) meetings4. Monitor school rosters for compliance with staff allotments.5. Communicate with all parties in a businesslike, courteous, and efficient manner.a. Establish and maintain an effective working relationship with local schools, central office staff, applicants, and other employees.b. Help cultivate a responsive and customer-focused climate. 6. Perform other duties as assigned. Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit for extended periods of time. The employee is also required to talk, hear, stand, and walk. The employee may be required to use hands to touch, handle, feel, and/or reach. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
