    Job Description

    Position Summary:

    This position is responsible for drafting and designing various commercial, residential, and agricultural post frame buildings using AutoCAD Software. Using material lists, CAD Designers make these building plans and work closely with the store and/or contractors to effectively communicate any deficiencies, questions, or concerns to achieve client satisfaction on all projects.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    + Develop Computer Aided Designs for Midwest Manufacturing

    + Draft and design various commercial, residential, and agricultural post frame structural plans

    + Work closely with the store and/or contractors to effectively communicant any deficiencies, questions, or concerns to achieve client satisfaction on all projects

    + Provide plans to contractors and guests for building construction

    + Work independently to produce high quality results

    Additional Responsibilities:

    + Distribute blue prints

    + Assist Team Members in resolving design problems that may arise

    + Any additional design and/or estimating functions as assigned by supervisor

    Skills/Requirements

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Bachelors or Associates Degree in a drafting-related field

    + Knowledge of AutoCAD software

    + Knowledge of Architectural Design Software

    + Able to work within designated normal office hours assigned or required by work

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Two or more years experience using CAD

    + Some construction knowledge

    + Knowledge of building codes
