    BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking a **Mental Health Technician II** to join our outstanding and compassionate team at BayCare Behavioral Health- Community Recovery Center!

    Mental Health Technician II Position Details:

    + **Facility:** BayCare Behavioral Health- Community Recovery Center

    + **Location:** New Port Richey, FL

    + **Status:** Full time, Hourly

    + **Shift Hours:** Hours Vary, 8 hour shifts

    + **Weekend Work:** Occasional

    + **On Call:** No

    The Mental Health Technician II Responsibilities:

    + Provides direct patient care to psychiatric inpatients under the direct Supervision of a Registered Nurse.

    + Provides ongoing monitoring and observation of patients to ensure safety and wellbeing.

    + Promotes communication and therapeutic relationships with patients.

    + Assists with physical care under the direction of an RN.

    Required Certification/Licensures:

    + BLS (Basic Life Support)

    + CNA (Nursing Assistant) - preferred

    + Patient Care Technician - preferred

    Required Education:

    + High School or Equivalent

    + Associate's degree in related field - Preferred

    + Bachelor's degree in related field- Preferred

    Required Experience:

    + 6 months – Psychology or Bachelor's degree in related field
