Description:

+ Assess, interpret, plan, monitor, and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients using evidence-based standards of care, policies and practice guidelines. Perform a nutrition-focused physical exam on patients. Identify and provide age-specific nutrition care and meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families. Work within an inter-disciplinary team to provide a plan of care to achieve the patient’s health goals.

+ Educate patients, care givers, students, and other health care colleagues on the effect of therapeutic diets and nutrition support to maintain/improve nutritional status.

+ Participate in department activities to enhance patient satisfaction.

+ Keep current on nutrition research and incorporate into daily practice. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

+ Required: Bachelor’s Degree

+ Preferred: Master’s Degree

+ Specify Degree(s): Dietetics, Nutrition or Family & Consumer Science with ACEND (Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics) requirements completed.

+ Required: Less than one year of previous job-related experience

+ Required: Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration and Licensed as a Dietitian with the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation. Must obtain registration and licensure within 6 months of hire date.

Pay Rate: $30.01 per hour

_Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles._
