    The Adel DeSoto Minburn Community School District is seeking a highly motivated, quality applicant as our Assistant High School Baseball Coach for the 2025-26 summer season. ADM competes in the highly competitive Raccoon River Conference. ADM is a growing school district in central Iowa. We have excellent facilities and strong athletic programs. ADM has tremendous community support for their athletic programs. Our coaching staff works great together and encourages student-athletes to be involved in multiple sports and activities. We are looking for a candidate to continue to build on the current program's success. Essential Functions: Operations

     

    + Support the Head Coach in implementing the overall baseball program for grades 7-12.

    + Assist in teaching and reinforcing the fundamental philosophies, skills, and techniques established by the Head Coach.

    + Collaborate with other coaches to develop and execute game plans.

    + Help analyze opponents and prepare scouting reports as directed by the Head Coach.

    + Assist in planning and conducting practices under the direction of the Head Coach.

    + Promote player safety by adhering to proper training techniques, safety protocols, and injury procedures.

    + Maintain and manage team equipment as assigned by the Head Coach.

    + Support game day logistics, including player rotations, sideline management, and in-game adjustments.

    + Provide input for end-of-season summaries and player evaluations.

    + Perform other duties as assigned by the Head Coach, Athletic Director, Principal, or other administrators.

    Player Development

    + Serve as a positive role model, fostering sportsmanship, teamwork, and discipline among student-athletes.

    + Reinforce the importance of academic success and good conduct to players.

    Community Engagement

    + Represent the football program in a professional and positive manner within the school and community.

    + Assist in promoting the program to encourage community support and involvement.

    Qualifications:

    + State of Iowa Coaching Authorization

    + High school diploma

    + Demonstrated aptitude for the work to be performed

    + Ability to maintain confidentiality

    + Ability to work well with staff, parents, and students
