A leading tech organization based in Alpharetta, GA is seeking a Senior Java Software Engineer for a full-time, contract-to-hire opportunity. This role is part of a critical initiative to replace outdated Big Data infrastructure with modern, scalable, Java-based system architecture. Candidates will be on-site 5 days/week.

The team is looking for an engineer who can see the big picture, think like architects, and evolve alongside the product as it matures. A standout candidate will bring a strong mindset for secure coding practices and be proficient in using AI-assisted development tools to boost productivity and code quality. You’ll be modernizing legacy systems, introducing new Java-based functionality, and ensuring that security and innovation are at the heart of everything you build. Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of Java development experience in enterprise environments

• Strong experience with the Spring Framework

• Proven track record with secure coding and mitigating system vulnerabilities

• Hands-on experience using AI-assisted tools to support code generation, refactoring, or system optimization

• Proficiency in building REST APIs and cloud-native microservices

• Experience with Microsoft Azure (especially containers, AKS, App Services, VMs)

Daily Responsibilities

• 70% Hands-On Development (focused on secure, scalable code)

• 10% Architectural Design & Planning
