We offer a leading line of vegetable seed for growers in the United States and Eastern Canada. ** * * * * * Southwest Vegetable Seed Sales Manager* * Location: California, Arizona, New Mexico Industry: Agriculture | Sales | Management* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Position Overview* * We’re looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to lead our vegetable seed sales operations across the Southwest region—specifically California, Arizona, and New Mexico. In this pivotal role, you’ll be responsible for driving regional sales strategy, leading a high-performing sales team, and identifying new opportunities to grow market share and profitability.* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Key Responsibilities* * * Lead & Develop Sales Teams:** Supervise, mentor, and support Sales Representatives across Northern California, Arizona, and New Mexico, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.* * * Strategic Sales Management:* o * Oversee pricing strategies, including customized and situational pricing models.* o * Create competitive price quotes and specialized pricing structures as needed.* o * Develop and implement effective sales tools and resources to support field teams.* * * Market Planning & Forecasting:* o * Collaborate in sales and product strategy development.* o * Provide accurate forecasting for product development and regional introductions.* * * Marketing & Promotion:* o * Guide marketing campaigns and advertising initiatives to maximize regional impact and customer engagement.* o * Coordinate and lead a minimum of two regional sales meetings annually.* * * Operational Oversight:* o * Monitor accounts receivable and assist in collections as necessary.* o * Manage budgets and selling expenses in alignment with business goals.* ------------------------------------------------------------------------ * Qualifications* * * Bachelor’s Degree in Agriculture, Business, Marketing, or a related field (or equivalent experience).* * * Minimum of 5 years’ experience in sales, marketing, or team management, preferably within agriculture or agribusiness sectors.* * * Proven track record of leadership, team development, and driving profitable sales growth.* * * Strong communication, decision-making, and strategic planning skills.* * * Must hold a valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.* * * Willingness to travel independently across the region, including overnight stays as needed.* * * Flexible to work extended hours during peak seasons.* * * * At Seedway, we're passionate about helping farmers grow their best.
