    Job Title: Assistant Residential Dispatcher – HVAC & Plumbing

     

    Employment Type: Full-Time (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

     

    Department: Residential Service Department

    Job Summary

    The Assistant Residential HVAC and Plumbing Dispatcher supports the dispatch team in coordinating service calls, managing technician schedules, and ensuring timely and efficient HVAC and Plumbing service delivery to residential clients. This role is ideal for someone organized, customer-focused, and eager to grow within the HVAC & Plumbing industry.

    Key Responsibilities

    + **Scheduling & Coordination**

    + Assist in assigning daily service calls to technicians based on availability and proximity.

    + Monitor technician progress and update schedules in real time.

    + Help optimize routes to reduce travel time and increase productivity.

    + **Customer Communication**

    + Answer incoming service requests and inquiries from residents.

    + Confirm appointments and provide updates on technician arrival times.

    + Document customer concerns and relay them to the appropriate team members.

    + **Administrative Support**

    + Maintain accurate records of service calls, technician assignments, and customer interactions.

    + Input and update data in dispatch software

    + Assist with preparing daily logs, reports, and technician paperwork.

    + **Team Collaboration**

    + Work closely with lead dispatcher, service managers, and technicians.

    + Support coordination of emergency service calls and last-minute schedule changes.

    + Help ensure technicians have the necessary tools and information for each job.

    Required Skills & Qualifications

    + Strong multitasking and organizational skills.

    + Excellent verbal and written communication.

    + Basic understanding of HVAC systems and terminology (preferred)

    + Familiarity with dispatch or scheduling software (preferred)

    + Ability to remain calm and professional in fast-paced environments.

    Education & Experience

    + High school diploma or equivalent (required).

    + 1+ year experience in customer service, dispatching, or administrative support (preferred).

    + HVAC industry experience is a plus but not required.

    Preferred Traits

    + Detail-oriented and proactive.

    + Team player with a positive attitude.

    + Comfortable handling multiple phone lines and managing time-sensitive tasks.
