• Lead Network Engineer

    ManTech (Chantilly, VA)


    ManTech seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented **Lead** **Network Engineer** to join our team in **Chantilly, VA.**

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

    + Maintaining the network fabric of the ITD IT system architecture.

    + Remaining well versed in a multi-vendor environment for layer 2/3 switching and routing, firewalls, SAN directors, as well as virtual and cloud-hosted networking technologies.

    + Installing, configuring, and maintaining entire physical networking infrastructure including firewalls and core/distribution/access switches and routers.

    + Utilizing network monitoring applications for traffic, access, and performance of entire network.

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or other IT-related discipline and seven (7) years of relevant experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements.

    + In lieu of a Bachelor’s: Associates’ degree and 10 years of relevant experience in information technology, leveraging software applications and tools to meet customer requirements.

    + Current DoD 8570 IAT II certification (CCNA or equivalent) or ability to obtain one within 180 days.

    + Experience in performing maintenance and upgrades of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls and networks.

    + Demonstrated ability in configuring routers, switches, and firewalls with appropriate network engineering and communications protocols.

    + Experience in providing innovating methods and technical solutions to ensure network performance.

    + Ability to travel domestically.

    Clearance Requirements:

    + Must have a current/active TS/SCI w/Polygraph.

    Physical Requirements:

    + Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%

    + Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.

    + Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.

    + Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
