Boiler Operator – Maintenance Technician

Shift: 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM

Wage: $31 – $41/hr (Pay range determined based on internal test results)

Job Description:

This position involves operating and maintaining high-pressure package boilers while performing repairs and preventive maintenance on facility and production equipment. A State of Minnesota 2nd Class B Boiler Operator’s license is required. This is a full-time, permanent position on the third shift (11:00 PM – 7:00 AM) and includes a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive wage.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Independently perform assigned plant equipment repairs.

Independently conduct preventative maintenance for equipment.

Perform mechanical and electrical troubleshooting of plant equipment.

Perform building maintenance and repairs as needed.

May perform electrical repairs of single-phase and three-phase power distribution components.

May troubleshoot and repair electrical control wiring of equipment.

Perform other duties as requested.

Job Requirements:

Minimum of 3 years of related maintenance experience or 2 years of maintenance experience with additional technical training specific to equipment and plant maintenance.

Knowledge of single-phase and three-phase electrical distribution systems and motors.

Ability to troubleshoot electrical controls from basic electrical schematics.

Proficient in using electrical test instruments, such as continuity testers, amp meters, and voltage testers.

Ability to troubleshoot and perform complex repairs and machine adjustments.

Ability to locate, read, understand, and apply information from equipment manuals.

Ability to independently perform and document equipment preventive maintenance (PMs).

Strong problem-solving and electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.

Valid MN 2nd Class B Boiler Operator license.
