    Position Summary:

    The CI and Education Manager oversee the development, implementation, and management of clinical applications and informatics solutions to support the medical staff’s clinical and operational goals. This role will ensure seamless integration, efficiency and regulatory compliance in data reporting processes, while providing insights for quality improvement and patient care enhancement. Provides management and operational oversight on all aspects of medical staff education to ensure compliance with medical staff bylaws, rules and regulations, and accreditation bodies.

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in healthcare management or health care related field or equivalent combination of education and experience in science or health-related field with direct data management and continuous medical education experience

    Training and Experience:

    + A minimum of three (3) years of clinical application support and/or informatics-related experience and continuing medical education or staff development experience in a healthcare setting. Has strong background in project management, quality improvement or clinical research, a strong understanding of clinical processes related to integrated clinical systems, ability to design data visualizations and dashboards for end-user-friendly presentation and metrics, workflow analysis, process improvement and implementing solutions for clinical staff and demonstrated success in quality improvement or research projects, managing clinical information system optimization projects, and large healthcare organizations

    + Informatics or Health IT certification (e.g. NI-BC, CPHIMS, or CAHIMS) is preferred. Candidates should be prepared to obtain certification within 24 months of employment if not already certified.

    + Must demonstrate intermediate or greater skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power point and Outlook) and general knowledge of using office machines with filing and organization skills.

    + Proficient in developing and implementing clinical education programs aligned with compliance requirements and clinical best practices. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to mentor and motivate staff.

    Job Knowledge:

    + Has strong project management skills and detailed oriented.

    + Must possess strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work independently while achieving high levels of satisfaction in program execution.

    + Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with clinical teams, leadership, and providers. Proficiency in instructional design, program evaluation, and competency assessment. Experience using educational tools, technologies, and learning management systems. Exceptional organizational skills to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

    + Ability to work in a stressful environment.

    + Long periods of time sitting.

    + Long periods of time using computer software programs.

    + Ability to tactfully interact with health care professionals.
