    Arnot Health is seeking a Weekend Clinical Laboratory Assistant I (CLA I) to join our Laboratory Services team. In this role, you’ll provide essential non-technical support that keeps our lab running efficiently and ensures accurate, timely diagnostic results for our patients.

    What You’ll Do:

    + Phlebotomy & Specimen Collection: Perform blood draws with precision and care (training provided if no prior experience).

    + Specimen Processing & Accessioning: Receive, label, and prepare specimens for testing.

    + Reference Lab Preparation: Verify specimen requirements and prepare for transport.

    + Specialty Processing: Handle 24-hour urine collections and other specialized samples.

    + Specimen Tracking & Test Add-Ons: Monitor specimens and process additional orders.

    + Courier Duties: Transport specimens between Arnot Ogden Medical Center (AOMC) and St. Joseph’s Hospital (SJH).

    + Administrative Support: Answer phones, distribute faxes, and assist with routine lab functions.

    + Patient Interaction: Deliver respectful, compassionate service to patients and colleagues.

    What We’re Looking For:

    + High school diploma or equivalent required

    + Valid driver’s license (for courier duties)

    + Phlebotomy experience preferred but not required—training provided

    + Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs

    + Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

    + Familiarity with safety, infection control, and compliance standards is a plus
