    SUMMARY DESCRIPTION:The Part Time Radiography Clinical Coordinator assists a second clinical coordinator with assigning and evaluating clinical areas for Radiography students in the program. The position is part time and can include up to 20 hours per week. The hours are flexible weekly. This position works with another clinical coordinator. Teaching in the classroom, if desired, is paid separately. Opportunities for advancement

     

    Specific Duties and Responsibilities

    SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    + Correlate and coordinate clinical education and evaluating effectiveness

    + Participate in didactic and or clinical instruction

    + Support the program director to assure effective program operations

    + Participate in the accreditation and assessment processes

    + Maintain current knowledge of the discipline and educational methodology through continuing professional development

    + Maintain current knowledge of program policies, procedures and student progress

    + Evaluate program faculty Promotes proper teaching methodology

    + Assists to increase program effectiveness Discuss faculty concerns with individuals and program director

    + Maintains open communication with the Program Director and other College personnel regarding student placement and site evaluations.

    + Identifies rising risk students and provides an action plan to help them succeed Participates in College/Departmental meetings, and other meetings as requested.

    + Ensures that the number of students assigned to the clinical affiliate/center has a student/clinical staff ratio of not greater than one-to-one

    + Maintains records of student evaluations indicating the number and type of procedures performed by the student, the examination findings, the extent of student supervision, and the level of involvement of the student in scanning/performance to meet the minimum numbers of procedures and types of procedures required

    + Participates in program and learning outcomes assessments, to include, but not limited to, graduate satisfaction surveys and employer survey.

    OVERALL PURPOSE AND RESPONSIBILITY:

    The primary and most important overall responsibility of all employees is to provide service in a pleasant, helpful, and effective manner to our students and other members of the College community.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Education Required:

    Bachelor’s Degree and Current ARRT certification and registration

    Experience Required:

    + One-year experience as an instructor in a JRCERT accredited program

    + Current ARRT certification and registration

    + Two years of clinical experience in the discipline.

    Experience Preferred:

    + Proficiency in teaching methodology, supervision, instruction, evaluation, and advising.

    + Bachelor's degree, experience in curriculum development, supervision, instruction, evaluation and/or academic advising desirable.

    Skills/Abilities /Knowledge /Other Requirements:

    + Ability to communicate, both orally and in written forms, with students, College personnel, clinical sites and the community.

    + Ability to learn online programs for learning management systems and clinical compliance (Trajecsys)

     

    Additional Information

    INSTITUTIONAL EFFECTIVENESS:

    Collaborates with department members and/or the Compliance, Assessment and Research team to support planning, assessment, data collection and reporting for continuous improvement of the college.
