We are specifically looking for a qualified and energetic Assistant Teacher to join our Infants team. If you have prior experience working infants (6 weeks - 18 months), we would love to hear from you!   What We Offer * Competitive pay ($15-18/hour, depending on experience and qualifications) * Extremely affordable health insurance including medical, dental and vision benefits (at least 30 hours/week work commitment required) * Free & well-rounded education for your children - for those that qualify through Texas Workforce's CCS program * Up to 160 hours of Time-Off per year, including paid holidays (for Full-time employees) * Prioritized focus on your professional development - including Child Development Associate (at no cost to you) and support to pursue Associates or Bachelors degrees * Paid training opportunities to meet annual training hours requirement * SIMPLE IRA retirement plan with up to 3% company match   General Qualifications * Prior experience with Infants age group highly desired * High school diploma required * A valid CPR/First-aid certification required * Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations; for Infant and Young Toddler Teachers, must be able to properly lift infants into and out of a crib * Works productively without supervision * Shows empathy and compassion for young children * Is dependable and adaptable and enjoys working together toward a common goal * Excellent verbal and written communication skills with outstanding ability to listen and follow-up on issues constructively * Ability to calmly address stressful situations professionally while multi-tasking to ensure smooth school operations   Primary Job Responsibilities Our assistant teachers will work with a lead teacher as part of the teaching team to encourage a positive learning environment for all children within the School. Responsibilities include the following: * Be reliable and dependable * Caring and nurturing personality with a pleasant disposition * Establish and maintain a safe, healthy, and nurturing learning environment * Assist the Lead Teacher with curriculum implementation and classroom management * Support each child’s social and emotional development * Establish positive and effective family relations   About Goddard Schools The Goddard School located in Pflugerville, TX has been open since 2009.
