    Finishing Lead – Custom Store Fixtures

    PDS Tech is seeking a skilled and hands-on **Finishing Lead** to oversee finishing operations for high-end, custom store displays. This is a unique opportunity to combine leadership with craftsmanship in a fast-paced, creative environment. If you’re ready to guide a team, manage resources, and work directly with finishing equipment—this is the role for you.

     

    **Pay Rate:** $25.00 – $35.00/hour (Based on experience)

    **Schedule:** 1st Shift | Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:30 PM

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Operate and oversee all finishing equipment used to stain, seal, and finish store fixtures

    + Interpret blueprints and work orders to meet exact product specifications

    + Mix and apply finishes, perform detailed touch-ups, and restore or refinish surfaces

    + Coordinate daily production schedules and assign tasks to team members

    + Provide training, guidance, and support to department staff

    + Maintain equipment and ensure workspace cleanliness and safety

    + Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving strategies

    + Communicate effectively with management and staff to ensure workflow and quality standards are met

    + Report safety, attendance, and performance issues to the Department Manager

    + Uphold and promote a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence

    What You Bring:

    + 3–5 years of finishing experience in a manufacturing or custom fabrication setting

    + Proven leadership skills with experience training and directing others

    + Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges

    + Working knowledge of finishing tools and materials (grinders, sanders, solvents, etc.)

    + Basic computer skills and the ability to manage schedules and priorities

    + Strong attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality craftsmanship

    + Willingness to travel between PD locations if needed

    + Ability to wear PPE and perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + Prior supervisory or lead experience in a production or finishing environment

    + Knowledge of decorative techniques such as stenciling, gilding, or embossing

    **Pay Details:** $25.00 to $35.00 per hour
