    Job Summary:

    The department of Urology at the University of Rochester Medical Center is seeking a skilled and patient-focused Assistant Professor of Clinical Urology to join our expanding regional faculty practice, providing care primarily in Canandaigua and Geneva.

     

    This primarily clinical role includes practice at our state-of-the-art, 12,500 sq ft Canandaigua clinic, designed for modern urologic care with advanced procedure rooms and technology to support both efficiency and an exceptional patient experience.

     

    The position focuses on delivering high-quality, academic urologic care to an underserved population, as part of a mission-driven team committed to expanding access and improving health equity in the Finger Lakes region.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Clinical Care: This position focuses primarily on clinical work, delivering high-quality general urological care to patients with a commitment to improving access for underserved populations in the Finger Lakes Region.

    • Collaboration: Work closely with University of Rochester faculty, local clinicians, and regional health partners to ensure coordinated, comprehensive patient care. Participate in collaborative efforts that enhance the delivery and reach of urologic services across the region.

    • Education: Participate in the teaching and clinical mentorship of medical students, fellows, residents, and advanced practice providers, with a focus on real-world, community-based academic practice.

    • Service: Contribute to departmental, institutional, and professional service activities. Participate in committees, quality improvement initiatives, and academic events as part of the broader mission of the University of Rochester Medical Center.

    Qualifications

    **Education:** M.D degree or equivalent, possesses the credentials to obtain an unrestricted NYS Medical License, completion of an accredited Urology Residency.

    **Experience:** Demonstrated history of delivering high-quality patient care, with a commitment to serving a diverse population. Candidates should possess strong interpersonal skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively.
