    JOB SUMMARY

    Functions as the leader of the property’s club membership sales efforts. Develops, facilitates, and coordinate Club Membership program. Manages the property’s reactive and proactive membership sales efforts. Shares responsibility for achieving revenue and guest/associate satisfaction goals. Provides day to day leadership to the on property membership sales associates with a focus on achievement of the property’s sales objectives. Provides, distributes and maintains database of members and prospect members, companies and contacts. Achieves personal sales goals.

    CANDIDATE PROFILE

    Education and Experience

    • 2-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 4 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.

    OR

    • 4-year bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or related major; 2 years experience in the sales and marketing or related professional area.

    CORE WORK ACTIVITIES

    Building Successful Relationships that Generate Sales Opportunities

    • Works collaboratively with off-property sales channels to ensure sales efforts are coordinated, complementary and not duplicative.

    • Develops relationships within community to strengthen and expand customer base for sales opportunities.

    • Manages and develops relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

    Managing Sales Activities

    • Provides positive and aggressive leadership to ensure maximum revenue potential (e.g., sets example with personal booking goals).

    • Participates in sales calls with members of sales team to acquire new business and/or close on business.

    • Executes and supports the operational aspects of business booked (e.g., generating proposal, writing contract, customer correspondence).

    Using Knowledge of Market Trends and Target Customer Information to Maximize Revenue

    • Identifies new business to achieve personal and location revenue goals.

    • Understands the overall market - competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc. and knows how to sell against them.

    • Closes the best opportunities for the location based on market conditions and location needs.

    Ensuring Exceptional Customer Service

    • Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies customer service and creates a positive example for guest relations.

    • Supports the company’s service and relationship strategy, driving customer loyalty by delivering service excellence throughout each customer experience.

    • Services our customers in order to grow share of the account.

    • Empowers employees to provide excellent customer service.

    • Executes and supports the company’s customer service standards.

    • Provides excellent customer service consistent with the daily service basics of the company.

    • Sets a positive example for guest relations.

    • Interacts with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.

    Managing and Conducting Human Resource Activities

    • Interviews and hires management and hourly employees with the appropriate skills to meet the business needs of the operation.

    • Develops, implements and maintains a departmental orientation program for employees to receive the appropriate new hire training to successfully perform their job.

    • Utilizes all available on the job training tools for employees.

     

    The salary range for this position is $94,000 to $128,000 annually. Marriott offers a bonus program, comprehensive health care benefits, 401(k) plan with up to 5% company match, employee stock purchase plan at 15% discount, accrued paid time off (including sick leave where applicable), life insurance, group disability insurance, travel discounts, adoption assistance, paid parental leave, health savings account (except for positions based out of or performed in Hawaii), flexible spending accounts, tuition assistance, pre-tax commuter benefits, other life and work wellness benefits, and may include other incentives such as stock awards and deferred compensation plans. Benefits and incentive compensation may be subject to generally applicable eligibility, waiting period, contribution, and other requirements and conditions.
